Clinical Consultation

Clinical Consultation

These consultations are designed for the leadership of organizations who are considering adding an SST option to their range of services. Topics to be covered can include:

How will SST fit into and support the existing services?

Transform your therapeutic services with Single-session Therapy (SST), a streamlined approach that complements existing methodologies. Designed to address clients' issues in just one session, SST could revolutionize your current services, providing instant relief and essential tools to your clients. It's a time-efficient, highly impactful addition that blends seamlessly with the comprehensive treatment options you already offer.

Service provider staffing options

SST offers flexibility in staffing, accommodating both full-time and part-time therapists. SST can be integrated into existing work schedules, empowering your team to make a significant difference in clients' lives in single sessions. SST encourages staff to be optimally utilized, fostering a balanced work-life environment while maximizing client impact.

Hours of operation

SST can fit into various hours of operation, accommodating both standard and extended hours. This flexibility allows for therapists to cater to clients with diverse schedules, making mental health care accessible to all. Offer help when it's most needed, and foster an environment where therapy is not just an option, but a readily available service.

Promotion: increasing community awareness of the SST option

Emphasize the unique benefits of SST to raise community awareness. Highlight its efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility, showing potential clients how they can achieve tangible results in just one session. Use local events, social media campaigns, and partnerships with community organizations to reach out and inform everyone about this innovative approach.

Making the leadership case for SST for your staff

SST is a powerful tool for leaders who want to make a difference quickly and efficiently. It promotes skill enhancement, boosts job satisfaction, and offers a unique opportunity for therapists to make an immediate positive impact. Integrating SST into your services is a clear demonstration of forward-thinking leadership and commitment to client wellbeing.

How to organize the “front door” for SST clients

The first step in an SST journey is creating a welcoming, organized entry point. Streamline the intake process, making it easy for clients to understand how SST works, what they can expect, and how to get started. A well-organized front door creates a smooth, stress-free experience, encouraging more individuals to seek the help they need.

What about session length?

SST's beauty lies in its efficiency. While traditional therapy may require multiple sessions spread over weeks or months, SST is designed to deliver results in just one session, typically between 60 to 90 minutes. This condensed yet effective timeframe makes therapy more accessible to those with busy schedules, removing a significant barrier to seeking help.

Documentation of sessions

Even though SST is typically a single session, documentation remains essential. Keep comprehensive records of each client's session to ensure they're provided with the most effective care and follow-up resources. Strong documentation practices enhance the therapeutic process, providing a clear path for client growth and improvement.

Consents and introductory questionnaire to be completed by clients

Prioritize clarity and transparency with clients. Use detailed consent forms and introductory questionnaires to ensure clients understand the SST process and feel comfortable moving forward. This understanding will encourage more individuals to step into the therapeutic process, knowing their needs and concerns are respected and addressed.

Training and ongoing support for clinical staff for both clinical and administrative staff

Equip your team with the tools they need to provide effective SST. Provide in-depth training and ongoing support, creating a well-prepared, confident team. By investing in your staff, you ensure that each client experiences the full benefits of SST, fostering an environment of success and growth for everyone involved.
